Secure by Faith Alone

Please hear me say this, not only to you but to my very own anxious and fearful heart.
If you are a child of God, someone who has fully surrendered their life, their pain, their struggles and sin over to God and have received His very own Spirit within them...God will never leave you, He will never lose you and He will never cast you away from His presence. There is not anything or anyone who can snatch you from His hands. You are eternally secure! Safe in the shadow of His mighty wings! “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.” John 10:28-29(NEVER PERISH)
Yes, we will suffer the consequences of our disobedience and sin, and we will have to answer to God for the things we’ve done or not done. However, His love and faithfulness remain! His promises and faithfulness are not dependent on us, they are based on who He is!
When we can live in the knowledge of that freedom, and trust in Gods faithfulness and power, we will be better able to love Him with our whole heart, mind, body and soul! We will want to worship Him through the good and the bad! We will want to obey Him and follow hard after Him! We will want to be more like Christ and live a life that makes Him smile and say...This is my beloved Child, who brings me great joy.
Why am I so sure of this? Because Gods power and grace is sufficient! And I know from personal experience! Even when I was in the darkest pit of pain, suffering, and sin, God never let me go! He never left my side! His strength is greater than my weakness. If He says my soul is eternally secure and that the Holy Spirit is a guarantee that my soul will enter heaven, then He has all the power needed to ensure that is exactly what happens to His true children when we leave this earth at the end of our life. “And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.” Ephesians 1:13b-14a “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:8-10
If you aren’t 100% sure you are His true child and aren’t 100% sure you’re saved, go to God, your loving heavenly Dad and tell him how you feel. Tell Him you are ready to surrender your life, your sin and all that you are over to Him! Ask Him to please come invade your soul with His Holy presence and make you a new creation. Stripping you of your old self, leaving you with a new life, a new beginning and a secured eternity with Him. Ask Him to help you be more like His Son, Jesus...kind, gentle, patient, loving, humble and strong! All the things only His Holy Spirit inside if you can accomplish. Apart from Him and apart from clinging to Him daily through prayer and reading His Word, we cannot do anything! “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Trust in Him, trust in His power to save and in His grace that is sufficient enough to break through the prison doors of sin! His love is relentless and He will never give up on you!! He loves you that much!! He loves you enough to have provided a way to enter heaven by allowing His so. To die on the cross for every single sin you have committed and will commit! His grace is sufficient!!! Rest in that and live in the joy of that!!! Don’t let fear of losing your salvation rob you of the abundant life and freedom Christ’s death on the cross has afforded you!! Luckily, it all depends on the strength, power and sacrifice of The LORD our God and not on our strength. That is the exact reason Christ died on the cross for us! He knows how weak we are and knows that we could never be pure enough to enter heaven.
“So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:14-16
“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:12-14
And that is THE GOOD NEWS!
