Good News!!

Have you ever been compelled to share the news about something you weren’t very excited about? It’s just not something we’re motivated to do. However, when we have good news to share, nothing can seem to stop us from spreading it!!

It’s natural, if we aren’t too thrilled about something or are unsure about something we’re in no hurry to spread the news. Just as it is with our faith. If we aren’t excited about it or unsure of it, we are less likely to speak to others about it.

This isn’t a shame session by any means. My purpose is to encourage each one of us to take our spiritual temperature. Are we excited about the “good news” of Christ? Are we excited about The ancient book written over 3,000 years ago? Are we giddy over knowing The Creator of the Universe? If not, then we don’t know Him well. If not, then we haven’t dove into the greatest treasure on this earth.

If you’re a believer and your not exactly “excited”, it’s time to get to know God and His Word more intimately. I promise, the time you devote to this journey will be more fruitful than any adventure you could go on.

We can never effectively share “The Good News” with a hurting and lost world if we aren’t excited about it, if we don’t have passion for God and His Word. And honestly, we’re less likely to even talk about it with anyone if it’s just a passing glance on Sundays or a quick devotional read here and there.

If you’re realizing you don’t feel excited about it or don’t have the desire, just pray for God to give you the desire. Pray that He will help you to know Him better and understand His Word better. Trust me, if you’re genuine about it He will help you with this!

God calls us all to share our faith, to help those who are lost and hurting, to lead people to a loving and gracious God! “The gospel is the treasure that we’re never surer we’ve received than when we keep trying to give it away.” ~Beth Moore

“Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all. Whoever believes and is baptized is saved; whoever refuses to believe is damned.” Mark 16:14

“If any of you is embarrassed with me and the way I’m leading you, know that the Son of Man will be far more embarrassed with you when he arrives in all his splendor in company with the Father and the holy angels.” Luke 9:23
