God really is Good

If we could remember these 3 truths and truly believe them, our days would be filled with so much more joy, peace and strength:

1. God is good…all the time. Even when bad things happen.

2. God is in control…even when life feels out of control.

3. God loves me and wants what’s best for me…despite the consequences we endure and cause others to endure when we choose to live contrary to Gods Instructions.

What I do and what others do, does not change the goodness of God.

Try this today, instead of viewing Gods instructions as a bunch of restrictive “no’s”, try to view them as loving warnings. For example, try to replace His “Don’t do this or that” with “Oh dear child, if you do that or you head in that direction, you’re going to get hurt or you’re going to hurt someone else. If you could see things from where I stand, you would understand. So please just trust me on this.”

Some scriptural reminders 💕

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God...” Romans 8:28

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave[g] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zephaniah 3:17

“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” James 1:22-25
