Be Different

As Christians, we are called to go out into the world and be Christ’s extension by bringing life, healing and hope.

If we are cultivating an atmosphere of discord, hatred and anger, instead of inspiring hope in the midst of hardship, we are failing miserably as Christians.

More than ever, we must stand out as the peacemakers Gods calls us to be. We must try with all the strength that comes from The LORD, to swim upstream and not be swept away by the current of this swift moving river of governmental mayhem, media driven race wars and everything else that is trying to divide us all. If you can’t swim upstream against the current, step out of the river for a while and allow God to restore your soul and bring His peace and joy back into your life.

We must also remember who the real enemy is, it’s not a political party, it’s not another race, it’s Satan. The ultimate deceiver. Let’s not be his pawn in this evil game he plays, that only brings violence and death (spiritual and physical).

Be the change! “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.” James 1:22

“Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” Ephesians 4:14-15

“But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:44-48
