Never Ending

I’m not sure if I’m alone in this but I’m going to be brave enough to assume I’m not. For the majority of my life I was terrified of “the end”...the end of this world, the end of humans, the end of me. It plagued me as a child and I was too afraid to voice those fears. No one would have ever guessed I suffered from night terrors because for the most part I was a bubbly, happy little girl. What I didn’t realize was that God was with me even then. And that He was always pursuing me. All those anxious nights, He was right there with me the whole time. It didn’t bring me comfort at the time because I didn’t know He was there but it brought me a lot of comfort when I finally realized I wasn’t alone all those times. And not only was He always there, He was guiding me to the truth that would set me free from those fears. The truth that there will never be an end to “me” or “Him”. That I was His child and as long as I followed Him and trusted Him I would have eternal life and that He would never leave, fail or abandon me. “For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” Hebrews 13:5 So, if I am promised an eternal life, then why does the Bible talk about “the end of time” or “the very end of the age”? That is because “time” is only relative to us, here, not to God and not eternity. The best way to explain this is through analogy. It’s like the universe exists inside of a snow globe and God is on the outside (even though yes, His Spirit is with us). He is beyond space and time. He is looking at the universes beginning and end and everything in between at one glance. He sees it all, He knows it all. He is in control of it all and need flash, we are not. And one day we will get to step outside of this “snow globe” and step into eternity with Him!! We will not be bound by “time” or “space”. I really hope that brings someone comfort today and beyond, to know that there is a much greater picture and purpose than what we see in our everyday lives. And what we can comprehend with our finite brains. And find even greater peace knowing that those who place their trust in Him and believe that He truly did send His Son, Jesus, into this “snow globe” to die for our sins, that we will be brought out of this “snow globe” and into eternity to live forever! And even though He is beyond time and space, He is still with us...always and forever!! “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20b "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16 “Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? ” But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”1 Corinthians 15:54-55,57
And the part of all of this, is that I will get to see my sweet Mama’s smiling face one day!! 💕
