Brave and Scared

Courage, bravery, fearless...were never words I, or anyone who knew me would use to describe me. I was a fearful child, teen and young adult. However, when I began to truly truly trust that God was real and He would NEVER LOSE ME!! He would always be right there with me...in the darkest, scariest places, I began to be more and more fearless. Being brave does not mean being fearless, it means taking the next brave step while clinging to God. Trusting Him every step of the way. Sometimes when we feel God calling us to do something we envision a ginormous mountain. And while it may be that big of a plan, He usually is only really asking you to take one step. To just trust Him, take on one day at a time, pull yourself up onto a little rock, then sit and rest with Him a while. Keeping your eyes on Him the whole time. It’s amazing what you can do when you trust Him, follow Him and tackle on one day and one step at a time. Before you know it, you have just climbed Kilimanjaro!! You can accomplish anything when you take one baby step at a time and keep your eyes on Him every single day! When you do, you will be amazed had how many people in your life will see your bravery and be inspired to be brave too! “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13
