Come, sit with me a while. ~God
Updated: Apr 8, 2020

The best part of my day! 💕📖☕️ It’s like God says directly to me “Come, sit with me and visit a while.” He invites you too! “Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” Mark 6:31 When I first started having my morning quiet time I found peace for the first time in my life. I found there was a direct correlation between when I was having consistent quiet time my anxiety, fears and depression went away but when I went too long without time with God and His Word, the anxiety rushed back in. It took me a while to realize what was going on. I spent years in counseling during my 20’s to work through my fears and anxiety but nothing ever calmed my soul like my coffee dates with God! Yes, therapy is necessary to heal our mind and emotions, just as traditional medicine and doctors are necessary for our physical bodies. However, only The Great Physician can tend to our very spirit and souls. ❤️ “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. Psalm 147:3 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 “Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Psalm 43:3-5
