In private?

I love when I read a scripture I’ve seen before and something different. This morning I was reading John 6:6 “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” And The part that stood out to me was “...your Father (God)...sees what is done in secret.” Hmmm, that can either be very encouraging or very scary. It’s so crazy how the human brain works and how we get it completely flipped around from the way God works and intends things to be. We go to church, check ✅ We say our prayers, check ✅ We read our Bible, check ✅ We give our 10% back to God, check ✅ However, we tend to miss the most important part...what is really going on inside and in private? What are we doing in private? Only you and God know the answer to that, but we need to really let that really sink in! God sees it all 😳 “You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.” Matthew 23:27b-28 But be encouraged, through true brokenness over our sin and the grace of God we not only can be forgiven but we can overcome the hold some sins may have on us! “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9a “...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 3:23-24,5:8
