Becoming One?

Ugh, this is so hard to remember each and every day. Are we considering our spouse in our daily decisions or are we so self-focused that we forget we’re “united...merged”? Becoming one in marriage means exactly that...we are one. We are one with each other and, more than that, we are one with God. Everything we do effects that union, either in a positive way or negative way. What’s the saying “what they don’t know won’t hurt them”? Unfortunately, that can’t be any further from the truth. Our thoughts and actions, public or private, are either drawing you closer to each other and to God or creating a wedge. We live in a world that pushes for being more “self-focused” and “self-gratifying”! Therefore, we really need to be diligent in praying for God to make us more aware of how our actions, thoughts and motives effect each other and for Him to create in each of us, a pure heart. (Psalm 51:10) ❤️
