The Unstoppable Love
I love this reminder in Psalms! I don’t know about you, but this gives me so much comfort to be reminded that God won’t lose His children :) It brings to mind the countless scripture promises of His unstoppable love for us ❤️ “I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade on your right hand. The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever. Psalm 121:1-3,5,7-8 “...God has said “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:12-14 “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out...This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day.” John 6:37 and 39 “...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 I’m ADHD and lose a lot of things so it’s refreshing to be reminded that I don’t have to be consumed with a fear that I will all of a sudden accidentally lose my salvation. God is holding on tightly and will keep coming after me when I lose my way. His Holy Spirit that lives in me will cause serious unrest within me when I begin to stray too far. Yes, we do have the freedom to reject God and His Salvation, however, I won’t just unknowingly misplace it. Once again, I have the freedom to either turn back to Him or to willingly continue down that dark and dangerous path. Either way, it’s a choice not an accident. “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14
