Feeling Rejected?

Good morning! I was looking through my keepsake drawer and came across an old worn out piece of paper, where I had written down some things to help me through the challenging waters of singleness and broken-heartedness. I had forgotten the pain, heartache and many lies about my worth, that singleness and rejection can bring. After reading the list of promises I had collected, I decided I needed to share them with those who may be struggling, as I did. So this post is for those who may have forgotten how precious they are and where their identity and worth come from!

1. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Philippians 4:13.

2. My identity and worth are dictated by God alone. He created me and He does not make mistakes. Jeremiah 1:5 and Psalm 40:5.

3. I must pray for God to give me objectivity, the right perspective and confidence in Him and who I am in His eyes, not the eyes of man. Ephesians 1:17 and James 1:5.

4. I am a work in progress. God will finish the work He began in me. In Gods timing, He will bring a man that doesn't require perfection, but who will fall in love with the godly woman I am striving so hard to be. Philippians 1:6.

5. I don't need a husband to have purpose or an identity. And when I feel rejected, I must remember that God never loses sight of me and He will never leave me or forsake me. Deuteronomy 31:6.

6. Why allow the opinion and rejection of those who barely knew me, override the love and opinions of the my amazing friends and family, who truly know me and have seen my good, bad and ugly and still love me dearly. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

7. Pray for God to help you see yourself through His eyes, not through the eyes of those who have rejected you. Deuteronomy 7:6.

8. What feels like rejection is God working things out for good. He is prying my heart and hands off of something in order to bless me with something better. Be patient, faithful and flexible so God can accomplish His perfect Will in my life! Romans 8:28 and Romans 12:2.

9. I must pray for God to protect me from the wolves in sheep clothing. 2 Timothy 3:6 and Matthew 7:16.

10. We will always go through times where we walk through dark valleys. Don't panic or beat yourself up, God is still with you. Cling to Him and cry out to Him. Psalm 23:4; 2 Samuel 22:29; Psalm 119:105 and Psalm 40:1-3
