This morning I was reminded of a scripture that was life saving to me during the darkest times of my life. Times when anxiety and depression seemed to completely overwhelm me. That was until I began to turn to God for comfort instead of turning to the things hat the world offered and that always left me worse off than before. It was amazing how my anxiety would begin to fade away when I would recite scripture in place of the worries and thoughts. This scripture below was the one that I memorized and said over and over, which brought me an unexplained peace! So if you are overwhelmed with fears, worries or sadness, try to recite these and even try to memorize. There is power when scripture is memorized and ready to pull out at anytime, this is why God calls His Bible and Words the “Sword of The Spirit”. Because it has the power to demolish any stronghold or addiction. And sets us fr

ee from the slavery that our own emotions keep us locked up in! Here is the scripture below along with a couple more that I am fond of as well.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning…We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God.”
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Psalm 40:1-4 I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols.
